Product Details
Polysleep Zephyr is a foam mattress that stands 12″ high with a medium-firm feel. It offers excellent edge support and motion isolation, and very low bounce. As Polysleep’s high-end option, Zephyr’s interior incorporates a few different cooling technologies, including open-cell foam, cooling gel foam, and phase-change material. It also has a three-zone support system and an antimicrobial foam layer.
The cover is woven with a blend of polyester, viscose (rayon), organic cotton, and Spandex. Polysleep says the cover uses Nanobionic® technology to provide additional cooling, but the company doesn’t say what this technology is or how it helps with temperature balance. The cover is removable and machine-washable.
While Polysleep Zephyr has several premium features, it lacks some of the more basic features we would expect to see in a mattress that costs $2,545 for a queen size. Its sleep trial is only 100 nights, and it only has a 10-year warranty. The mattress also doesn’t come with a free bedding bundle.
Competing mattress Octave Horizon, in comparison, offers similar features at a more affordable price. Horizon’s advanced construction includes five-zone full-body support, a cooling nanofibre cover, premium cooling foams, and PolarMAX® phase-change material to give you the cool, restorative sleep you deserve. At $1,499 for a queen size, Horizon comes with a 15-year warranty, a 365-night sleep trial, hassle-free returns with a full refund, and a free bedding bundle.

Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns
Polysleep offers free shipping to most Canadian regions via UPS and FedEx. You can expect to receive your mattress in 4–9 business days, including dispatch and delivery time. Shipping charges will apply if you live in the Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, or another remote area.
You’ll have a 100-night sleep trial to test your Polysleep Zephyr mattress before deciding whether to keep it. However, you can only initiate a return or exchange after the first 45 nights of the sleep trial have passed. The company only offers partial refunds on mattress returns, and you’ll also be charged a return fee of $89.95 plus tax.
If you choose to exchange Polysleep Zephyr for a more expensive mattress, you’ll need to pay the difference in cost. It’s not clear whether you’ll receive a partial refund if you switch to a less expensive mattress.
Polysleep offers separate warranties for each of its mattresses. Polysleep Zephyr comes with a 10-year manufacturer’s limited warranty, which covers manufacturing defects, surface indentation, splits and cracks in the foam, and defects in the mattress cover’s zipper. It’s unclear if the warranty covers damage to the mattress during delivery.

Polysleep Zephyr Mattress Construction
Polysleep Zephyr is a memory foam mattress that stands 12″ high and has 4 interior layers. All foam used is CertiPUR-US® certified.
- Layer 1: The top layer is 1″ of open-cell memory foam infused with “GelFlex Plus” cooling gel foam. The top surface of this layer is coated in phase-change material for temperature balance.
- Layer 2: The second layer is 2″ of perforated open-cell memory foam. According to Polysleep, this layer is anti-microbial, but the company doesn’t specify what gives the foam this property.
- Layer 3: The third layer is 3″ of Polysleep’s transition foam. This layer is divided into three-zoned support, with reinforcement for your hips and lower back while you’re lying down.
- Layer 4: The support layer is 6″ of Polysleep’s proprietary foam that looks identical to the layer above. This dense layer gives the mattress most of its bulk and prevents you from sinking too deeply into it when lying down.
The mattress also has dense edge support foam running along the sidewalls, encasing the bottom two layers. This contributes to the mattress’s high edge support score.
Polysleep Zephyr’s cover is made of polyester, viscose (rayon), organic cotton, and Spandex. It also incorporates Nanobionic® technology for additional temperature control, but it’s unclear how the technology achieves this. The cover is removable and machine washable.

MattressReviews.ca commissions licensed third-party engineers and uses public data to rate mattresses on over 40 criteria.
This allows us to accurately rate and compare the performance of the mattresses reviewed on this website. Engineer independence and operating standards help ensure their results remain unbiased, valid, and reliable. Each mattress was evaluated using the same strict mattress testing methodology to protect the overall integrity of the results. The full report has been given the official stamp of approval from an APEGA-certified engineer operating under a strict ethical code of conduct.
Mattress testing conducted outside of this professional standard poses a greater risk of validity errors or reviewer bias.
5.9 /10
Firmness
In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), Polysleep Zephyr had a deflection of 2.9″ when laid on, resulting in a firmness score of 5.9/10. This mattress should work with all sleep styles, but you may find you want a bit more support if you’re a back or stomach sleeper.
8.0 /10
Edge Support
Polysleep Zephyr had a deflection of 4.2″ from a seated position, giving it an edge support score of 8.0/10. This is an excellent score for a foam mattress and is partly due to the higher-density edge support foam support frame running along the sidewalls. You can sit on the edge or sleep farther away from the middle of the mattress without worrying about falling off.
8.4 /10
Motion Isolation
Polysleep Zephyr scored 8.4/10 for motion isolation, which is excellent for a foam mattress. You should be able to sleep without noticing most of your partner’s movements, unless they’re sleeping very close to you.
2.6 /10
Bounce
Foam mattresses are generally less bouncy than hybrid or innerspring mattresses, which is a side effect of their higher motion isolation. Polysleep Zephyr earned a 2.6/10 bounce score, which is very low. You may have some difficulty changing sleep positions or getting up after lying down.
(Looking for a more responsive bed? Octave Horizon’s higher 3.8/10 bounce score means that it’s easier to change positions and get up in the morning.)
7.2 /10
Cooling Features
Although Polysleep Zephyr isn’t described as a cooling mattress on the company’s website, it does incorporate some cooling technologies to help you avoid sleeping hot. This mattress earns points for its:
- Breathable cover infused with Nanobionic® Technology for surface temperature balance
- Cooling gel-infused foam layer treated with phase-change material to actively dissipate body heat
- Perforated foam layer to promote breathability
- Open-cell foams that promote greater airflow throughout the mattress
While Polysleep Zephyr provides advanced cooling features, competitor Octave Horizon offers even more features for a much lower price. Horizon features copper-infused cooling gel memory foam, PolarMAX® phase-change material, aerated latex and Elastex® foams, and a cover woven with CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres. Horizon is also more accessibly priced at just $1,499 for a queen size.

Company Background
Founded in 2016, Polysleep is a Canadian company that offers most of its retail services online. Previously, the company maintained a rating of “A+” on Better Business Bureau, but their profile on that website appears to have been removed.
Polysleep also has 3.5/5 stars on its unclaimed Trustpilot profile, but there aren’t any reviews to go with that rating. The lack of company information and customer reviews on third-party consumer trust websites is highly unusual and makes it difficult to say whether you would enjoy sleeping on a Polysleep mattress.
While Polysleep has 2,500+ reviews on its website, there are only a handful of one- and two-star reviews. Again, this is extremely unusual. One such review says they tried to leave a one-star review, but “they don’t allow them on their website.” This means there may be more reviews that aren’t shown and could present a far different picture of the company and/or its mattresses.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Polysleep mattresses good?
Polysleep Zephyr has a few premium features, including excellent edge support and motion isolation, some cooling technologies, and zoned support. But at $2,545 for a queen size, the Zephyr mattress is outside the budget of many Canadians. Its 100-night sleep trial and 10-year warranty are also only standard for the industry—and you won’t get a full refund if you need to make a return.
Consider Octave Horizon instead. At $1,499 for a queen size, Horizon comes with ergonomic five-zone support system and highly engineered cooling features to give you the restful, restorative sleep you deserve. You’ll get a 365-night sleep trial and 15-year warranty, full refunds with free return pickups, and a free bedding bundle.
Who owns Polysleep?
Polysleep is privately owned by Jeremiah Curvers, the company’s founder and current CEO.
Where are Polysleep mattresses manufactured?
Polysleep manufactures all mattresses for the Canadian market in Canada.
Do Polysleep mattresses need a special bed frame?
Polysleep recommends using a slatted bed frame for all of its mattresses. The slats should be a minimum of 2″ wide, and have a gap no greater than 3″.
What does the Polysleep warranty cover?
Polysleep has separate warranties for each of its mattresses. The Polysleep Sierra mattress comes with a 10-year manufacturer’s limited warranty. This warranty covers manufacturing defects, surface indentation, splits and cracks in the foam, and defects in the mattress cover’s zipper. It’s unclear if the warranty covers damage to the mattress during delivery.
How long does a Polysleep mattress last?
A mattress should last as long as its warranty period. Polysleep mattresses all have separate warranties—the Zephyr mattress comes with a 10-year warranty, which is average for the industry. However, there are very few customer reviews on third-party websites for Polysleep mattresses to indicate whether the mattress will last that long.
(In comparison, competitor mattress Octave Horizon comes with a longer 15-year warranty.)
