Layla is a 10.5″ foam mattress that’s designed to be flippable, letting you choose between a “Soft” or “Firm” sleeping surface. A tag on the mattress cover tells you which side is which. The top and bottom layers both contain copper-infused cooling gel, so you’ll notice this feature no matter which side you sleep on.
Third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us) shows that there’s barely any difference in feel or performance between the two sides. Both sides earned above-average edge support scores, excellent motion isolation scores, and relatively low bounce scores.
The mattress cover is removable and machine washable. It features a honeycomb pattern and is split into light and dark halves to indicate the soft and firm sides of the mattress. The cover is made of polyester, rayon, viscose, and polylycra.
