Product Details
Casper Wave Hybrid is a multi-layered hybrid mattress that comes in one medium-firm option. It features zoned support to promote spinal alignment. Casper promotes this product as the brand’s most supportive and comfortable mattress.
This mattress provides targeted support through its layers of reinforced memory foam, with softer areas beneath the upper body and firmer support at the midsection to improve spinal alignment. However, some reviews highlight that they don’t experience the cooling effects that Casper advertises. Casper Wave Hybrid is also more expensive than similar mattress-in-a-box luxury hybrids, with a queen-size mattress priced at $3,499.
If you’re looking for the same level of firmness at a more affordable price, consider Logan & Cove Choice. This premium hybrid mattress offers similar zoned support, more advanced cooling features, and a perfect balance of firmness and comfort for a much lower price of $999 for a queen size.

Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns
Note: Casper Wave Hybrid has been discontinued and is no longer in production. While you can’t buy Casper Wave Hybrid through the Casper website, you may be able to find the mattress through a third-party reseller. Their delivery, sleep trial, and return policies may vary.
Shipping a Casper mattress is free to most Canadian locations and occurs within 5–15 business days, including dispatch and delivery time. However, Casper doesn’t deliver mattresses to the Canadian territories. The company only delivers accessories and will only ship to capital cities.
Every Casper mattress comes with a 100-night sleep trial. This is only industry average and may not provide enough time for you to get to know your mattress. If you decide to initiate a return, Casper will arrange return pickup and provide a full refund.
If you want more value for your dollar, we recommend competing mattress Logan & Cove Choice. It comes with a much longer 365-night sleep trial and a 15-year warranty, all at a much lower price.

Casper Wave Hybrid Mattress Construction
The Casper Wave Hybrid mattress contains 6 layers constructed from latex, springs, foam, and gel pods. Combined, these layers provide cooling, ergonomic support, and durability.
- Layer 1: The comfort layer is made of breathable polyurethane foam, coated with cooling gel for a refreshing sleep.
- Layer 2: This layer includes natural and synthetic latex for added comfort and additional airflow and cooling.
- Layer 3: This 2″ foam layer is divided into three zones with different densities. This provides added support beneath your lower back and hips.
- Layer 4: This 1″ foam layer contains gel pods strategically placed under your waist and lower back to prevent sinkage and promote healthy spinal alignment.
- Layer 5: The support layer consists of foam with individually pocketed 6″ coils. These coils respond to your body for a boost of support and reduced motion transfer.
- Layer 6: The final 1″ foam layer provides extra support below the coil layer, which helps keep the coils from poking through the bottom of the mattress cover.
The soft knit mattress cover is a cotton and polyester blend, sourced from recycled plastic bottles. It isn’t removable or machine washable, so it should be spot-cleaned only.

MattressReviews.ca commissions licensed third-party engineers and uses public data to rate mattresses on over 40 criteria.
This allows us to accurately rate and compare the performance of the mattresses reviewed on this website. Engineer independence and operating standards help ensure their results remain unbiased, valid, and reliable. Each mattress was evaluated using the same strict mattress testing methodology to protect the overall integrity of the results. Edge Support
Foam mattresses often score low for edge support, but a hybrid mattress’s inner coils are expected to provide much higher support. Casper Wave Hybrid scored just 2.9/10 for edge support, leaving plenty of room for improvement. If you frequently sit on or lie close to the mattress edges, you may notice sinking and could have trouble staying on the bed.
(Need a mattress with more edge support? Consider Logan & Cove Choice with its higher edge support score of 7.5/10.)
6.9 /10
Motion Isolation
Casper Wave Hybrid has above-average motion isolation with a score of 6.9/10. However, the centre of the mattress is slightly less effective at absorbing movement than its edges. You may also notice more motion if you’re lying on an area that contains gel pods.
If you want slightly better motion isolation in your mattress, consider Logan & Cove, which scored 7.5/10.
5.4 /10
Bounce
A high level of bounce in a mattress can make it easier for you to change positions while you’re sleeping. Given its robust spring base and centre layers, Casper Wave Hybrid has an average amount of bounce for a hybrid mattress with a score of 5.4/10.
3.2 /10
Cooling Features
Casper Wave Hybrid isn’t advertised as a cooling mattress, but it does have a few cooling features worth noting. This mattress earns points for its:
- Top layer of gel-infused foam that allows for enhanced cooling
- Latex foam layer, which adds breathability and air circulation
- Pocket coil layer, which adds further breathability and airflow
If you want a hybrid mattress with more cooling features for a much lower price, consider Logan & Cove Choice. Choice comes with a layer of cooling gel foam and individually wrapped steel pocketed coils. The quilted mattress cover is designed with more gel foam, breathable hollow fibre fill, and cooling nanofibres for a more comfortable night’s sleep.
At just $999 for a queen size, Logan & Cove is also much more affordable compared to Casper Wave Hybrid’s $3,499 price tag.

Company Background
Casper first emerged in 2014 as an early North American bed-in-a-box brand. The company expanded its product lineup over the years with substantial funding from organizations like the Target Corporation and celebrities such as Ashton Kutcher. Today, the company offers mattresses, bedding accessories, and home decor.
Based in New York City, Casper went public in 2020 but was taken private again in 2022 after a stock collapse. Casper also shut down European operations in 2022 and now exclusively operates within the US and Canada. In 2023, Sleep Country acquired the rights to Casper’s Canadian operations.
While the company is rated “Poor” on Trustpilot and “A+” on Better Business Bureau, Casper only has 1.09/5 stars for customer reviews on BBB at the time this review was written. Several negative Casper mattress reviews mention warranty issues, poor customer service, delivery problems, and other concerns.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Casper Wave Hybrid worth it?
Casper Wave Hybrid has a few noteworthy features, including zoned support, gel pods for spinal alignment, and cooling features like gel foam, synthetic latex, and breathable pocketed coils. However, at for a queen size, this hybrid mattress is more expensive than many other mattress options on the market and may be out of budget for most Canadians. This mattress has also been discontinued and is no longer available through the Casper website.
We recommend Logan & Cove Choice instead. It comes with advanced cooling features, individually pocketed coils with three-zoned support, and luxury details not often seen outside a mattress showroom. You can also upgrade to Logan & Cove Frontier or Pinnacle for added micro coil layers for greater responsiveness and pressure-point relief. All Logan & Cove mattresses come with a generous 365-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, and a free bedding bundle.
Is the Casper mattress cover machine-washable?
No, the cover is designed for spot-cleaning only. While the cover has a zipper, it shouldn’t be removed from the mattress.
Where can I buy Casper Wave Hybrid in Canada?

What does the Casper warranty cover?
Casper mattresses come with a 15-year limited warranty, with the exception of clearance items, which are covered for 5 years. This warranty specifically addresses manufacturing defects, not including any problems related to an unsupportive foundation or adjustable bed base.

Casper Wave Hybrid is manufactured in the United States.
How much does Casper Wave Hybrid cost?
The mattress costs $2,899–$4,499 depending on the size you choose. The queen size is available for $3,499.
Does Casper Wave Hybrid come with a mattress protector?
Casper occasionally offers a promotion that gives you a free bedding bundle with your purchase, including a mattress protector. However, there’s no guarantee this promotion will be offered at the time of purchase. You may need to purchase a mattress protector separately.
