Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns

Since it’s been discontinued, Casper Element Pro is no longer available on the official Casper Canada website. It’s not available on Casper’s American website, either. However, you might come across it at certain Sleep Country locations in Canada or through other various retailers. Casper’s physical stores generally follow the company’s online policies, including free shipping to most locations in Canada, a 100-night sleep trial, and a 10-year limited warranty.

Policies may be different if you buy the Casper Element Pro from a retailer like Sleep Country or Amazon. To get specific details, contact the retailer directly.

Want a mattress with a longer sleep trial and warranty? Take a look at Juno.

The Casper Element Pro mattress contains 3 layers of foam. Casper doesn’t publicly share specifics about foam origin or density.

  • Layer 1: The comfort layer features 2″ of perforated polyurethane foam that molds to your body, offering pressure-point relief when you lie down. Perforated foam is often used to keep you cool while you sleep.
  • Layer 2: The transition layer includes 2″ of memory foam for added cushioning and support. While the top layer is designed to provide some airflow, this transition layer doesn’t contain technology to help combat the potential heat trapping memory foam is known for.
  • Layer 3: The support layer is designed with a substantial 6″ of support foam. This ensures a sturdy base, which means the mattress may be less likely to sink over time.

Casper Element Pro has a mattress cover made of polyester, cotton, rayon, and spandex, with some recycled and upcycled materials. The cover isn’t removable or machine-washable. If easy cleaning is a priority, consider a mattress with a machine-washable cover, or purchase a waterproof mattress protector at an additional cost.

Mattress Performance Results

7.4 /10

Edge Support

All-foam mattresses usually have more sinkage around the edges compared to hybrid or innerspring mattresses. Our third-party engineers rate Casper Element Pro at a 7.4/10 for edge support, which is considered a very good score.

(Get even higher edge support with a Juno mattress and its 8.0/10 score.)

7.5 /10

Motion Isolation

Foam mattresses are typically very good at absorbing movement. Casper Element Pro scores a 7.5/10 for motion isolation, which is a very good score. While most movement will be muted, you may still feel the occasional sensation when your partner tosses and turns.

3.7 /10

Bounce

Memory foam is fantastic at absorbing movement and cradling your pressure points. But that also makes for a mattress with little bounce. That’s likely why Casper Element Pro has a low bounce score of 3.7/10.

(Looking for even less bounce in your mattress? Juno scores a 2.5/10 in that department.)

Cooling Features

Casper Element Pro isn’t advertised as a cooling mattress, and has only one cooling feature. This mattress earns points for its:

  1. Perforated foam top layer, which promotes better airflow.

If you’re looking for a good mattress with cooling features on a budget, check out Juno. At just $499 for a queen size, Juno has a layer of cooling gel foam that allows for enhanced airflow and reduces heat buildup. Its optional Cool+ cover is woven with cooling yarn to keep surface temperatures low, giving you even more temperature-regulating comfort.

Company Background

LaunchedCompany HQOwnershipBBB RatingTrustpilot Rating

2014

Brampton, ON, Canada (Sleep Country Canada HQ)

Sleep Country

“A+” (unaccredited)

“Poor”

Founded in New York City, Casper first emerged in 2014 as an early North American bed-in-a-box brand. The company expanded its product lineup over the years with substantial funding from organizations like the Target Corporation and celebrities such as Ashton Kutcher.

Casper went public in 2020 but was taken private again in 2022 after a stock collapse. Also in 2022, Casper shut down its European operations, focusing exclusively on the North American market. In 2023, Casper sold its Canadian operations to Sleep Country Canada, and in 2024, after attempts to stop losing money, its US operations were acquired by one of its suppliers, Carpenter Corporation.

Today, the company offers mattresses, bedding accessories, and home decor. Products are sold online, through branded retail stores, and through Sleep Country locations in Canada. Their mattresses are sometimes accompanied by rotating sales or deals that may include free sleep accessories.

Although Casper has separate American and Canadian operations, the brand has one combined Trustpilot page, which rates it as “Poor” (based on over 6,000 customer reviews). On the Better Business Bureau, Casper’s American profile is rated “A+” (unaccredited), but has a customer review rating of just 1.17 out of 5 stars. Casper does not have a Canadian BBB profile, but its parent company Sleep Country Canada has a customer review score of just 1.28/5 on BBB, and is rated “Poor” on Trustpilot.

Where Casper makes its mattresses depends on whether you buy in Canada or the USA. Casper Canada makes most of its mattresses in Canada, with select models manufactured in the US. We have received Casper mattresses made in Canada, the United States and Mexico. The label of each mattress has information about where it was manufactured.

Should You Buy Casper Element Pro?

Casper Element Pro earned very good edge support and motion isolation scores for a foam mattress. However, its price is higher than other similar entry-level mattresses, and it doesn’t contain any advanced cooling features.

For an affordable but high-quality foam mattress, consider Juno. This Canadian mattress features cooling gel foam, comes with a 120-night risk-free sleep trial, and makes getting great sleep accessible at just $499 for a queen size

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Casper Element Pro mattress cover machine washable?

No, the cover is intended for spot-cleaning only and should not be taken off the mattress.

What does the Casper warranty cover?

Casper mattresses have a 10-year limited warranty (except for clearance items, which are covered for 5 years). While the warranty addresses manufacturing defects, Casper won’t honour the policy if you use an unsupportive foundation or adjustable bed base. The company recommends using a mattress protector on your mattress, but the warranty will remain intact if you choose not to use one.

Where can I buy the Casper Element Pro in Canada?

You won’t find the Casper Element Pro on the Casper website anymore (neither Canadian nor American). However, you might stumble upon it at Casper Sleep Shop locations in Canada, or from major e-retailers that still have it in stock. It’s also worth checking with certain mattress, furniture, and department stores.

Where is the Casper Element Pro mattress made?

This mattress was manufactured in the United States. However, it has been discontinued.

Current mattresses available on the Casper Canada website are said by the company to all be manufactured in Canada, except for the Wave Hybrid Snow mattress, which is still made in the United States.

How much does the Casper Element Pro mattress cost?

The Casper Element Pro mattress price is $795–$1,595, depending on which mattress size you choose. The Casper Element Pro queen mattress is available for $1,195.

What Casper Element Pro mattress alternatives should I consider?

A Juno mattress is a great alternative suitable for all sleep positions. This medium-firm, all-foam mattress is made from Canadian materials and includes cooling gel for some additional body-contouring comfort. Even better, you can buy a queen size for only $499, making it more affordable than many other foam mattresses of similar quality and features.
