We commissioned third-party engineer testing to assess the performance of Octave Vista and Logan & Cove Choice. The results of this testing showed that you should get a great night’s sleep with either mattress. It just depends on whether you prefer sleeping on a memory foam or hybrid mattress.

Firmness

In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), both Octave Vista and Logan & Cove Choice received scores that are consistent with a medium-firm feel. Both mattresses are ideal for a wide variety of sleep styles, including side, back, and stomach sleepers.

In fact, these mattresses scored very similarly. Logan & Cove is 6.9/10, which is on the firmer end of medium-firm, while Octave earned a slightly lower 6.8/10.

If you enjoy being gently hugged by body-contouring memory foam, you might prefer Octave. Or, if you’d rather have a touch more firmness and the responsive support of metal coils, Logan & Cove could be right for you.

 

Edge Support

Octave and Logan & Cove earned identical scores for edge support at 7.5/10—very good scores for any mattress. Either option will provide the support you need to comfortably sit on the edge of the bed. These mattresses are also a great choice if you sleep near the edge of the mattress, or if you need a little extra support to get out of bed.

 

Motion Isolation

Motion isolation helps you enjoy a good night’s sleep without being disturbed by a restless partner, kids, or pets. Again, both mattresses performed very well for motion isolation, with Octave scoring 7.3/10 and Logan & Cove scoring 7.5/10. With either mattress, you won’t be easily awoken by movement on the other side of the bed.

 

Bounce

Memory foam mattresses tend to have lower bounce scores than hybrid mattresses. Octave earned a below-average bounce rating of 3.7/10. However, despite the low amount of bounce, you shouldn’t feel “stuck” in the Octave mattress. The transition layer of Elastex® foam gives the mattress a certain level of responsiveness, helping you shift positions more easily.

In comparison, Logan & Cove has a much higher—but only slightly above-average—bounce score of 5.8/10. This is thanks to the layer of individually wrapped pocket coils, which make the mattress more springy. Like Octave, Logan & Cove also has a transition layer of responsive Elastex® foam for even more responsiveness.

 

Cooling Features

Logan & Cove and Octave both offer cooling features to help you stay cool through the night. Logan & Cove Choice earned a cooling features score of 4.4/10. This score is due to its cooling nanofibre cover, layer of hollow fibre fill and cooling gel, layer of ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam, layer of breathable Elastex® foam, and individually wrapped pocket coils that support airflow and minimize heat retention.

Octave Vista earned a higher cooling feature score of 7.2/10. In addition to its cooling nanofibre cover, Vista features phase-change material, CopperGel™-infused memory foam, a layer of Elastex® foam, and air channels in its support layer. These temperature-balancing technologies work together to promote heat dissipation and breathability for restful sleep.

Both Octave Vista and Logan & Cove Choice provide advanced temperature regulation and zoned support with high-quality construction. However, Octave is engineered with high-tech memory foam, while Logan & Cove is crafted with premium foam and individually wrapped pocket coils. Octave Mattress Layers

• Layer 1: Octave Vista’s top (comfort) layer is 2″ of CopperGel™ memory foam treated with PolarMAX® phase-change material, which adapts to seasonal temperature changes. This layer contours around your body, providing immediate relief from strain on your muscles and joints. Copper is also an antimicrobial metal and helps promote a clean, fresh sleep surface while transferring heat away from your body.
• Layer 2: Vista’s transition layer is 2″ of premium Elastex® foam, which is designed to be breathable and responsive. This specialized foam layer has the same springy feel as natural latex with the same pressure-relieving feel. The added bounce also makes it easier for you to change sleep positions.
• Layer 3: The support layer is 8″ of high-density foam divided into a unique five-zoned support system. This layer provides contouring support for your body, with added support beneath your back, hips, and knees. This innovative design reduces discomfort and stiffness while caring for your body and aiding in its natural recovery.

Octave Vista‘s top cover features CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres. This gives the sleep surface a refreshingly cool feel while it wicks away moisture from your body throughout the night. Logan & Cove Mattress Layers

• Layer 1: The first layer is 1″ of breathable hollow fibre fill and cooling gel-infused foam. It’s quilted directly under the tight-top cover, providing a degree of plushness and directly dissipating your body heat when you’re lying down.
• Layer 2: The second layer is 1″ of ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam. This foam layer provides excellent comfort and pressure-point relief, conforming to your body’s shape while also wicking away heat and moisture.
• Layer 3: The third layer is 1″ of Elastex® foam. This layer contours around your body, providing latex-like responsiveness and pressure relief, but without any of the allergy-causing chemicals in many natural latex mattresses.
• Layer 4: The support layer is 9″ of individually pocketed coils. Made of double-tempered steel, these coils are divided into 3 body-supporting zones to give contouring support for your back and hips. This layer is also encased with 4″-thick edge support foam along the sidewalls to give you more support when sitting on your bed, or lying farther away from the middle.

Logan & Cove Choice feels supple and cool to the touch, thanks to its plush quilted top cover infused with CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres. While the mattress cover isn’t machine washable, it’s adorned with intricate details that include diamond tufting and accent stitching.

Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns

Octave and Logan & Cove both ship for free by ground using FedEx. Your mattress is delivered directly to your door throughout most parts of Canada. Additional fees may apply for some remote locations.

Both mattresses ship from Ontario or Alberta. Including dispatch and delivery time, Logan & Cove will arrive in 2–11 business days, while Octave will arrive in 3–10 business days. They’re shipped in cardboard boxes and protected by two layers of heavy-duty plastic. Once unrolled, Octave and Logan & Cove fully expand within a few minutes and are sleep-ready on delivery day.
