In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), the S&S Hybrid mattress scored 6.8/10 for firmness. The Logan & Cove Choice has a slightly higher firmness rating of 6.9/10.

Edge Support

Logan & Cove Choice scored 7.5/10 for edge support. This score is above average for a hybrid mattress. You should enjoy good support when sitting on the edge of the bed or getting up in the morning.

The Silk & Snow Hybrid scored an above-average edge support score of 6.8/10, but this is almost a whole point lower than the Logan & Cove Choice.

Motion Isolation

Logan & Cove scored well for motion isolation at 7.5/10. You’ll likely feel very little movement when your partner tosses and turns in their sleep—or when children and pets climb into bed. Silk & Snow Hybrid earned a slightly higher score of 8.0/10.

Logan & Choice offers cooling features to help stay comfortable throughout the night. It earned a cooling feature score of 4.4/10. This is due to its cooling top cover made with and CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres, layer of breathable hollow fibre and cooling gel, its layer ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam, layer of Elastex® foam, and individually wrapped pocket coils.

You’ll want to reconsider the S&S Hybrid mattress if you overheat easily. It earned a cooling feature score of just 2.8/10. This is due to its temperature-balancing fabric in the top cover (only available in the Plush upgrade), a layer of gel-infused foam, and pocket coils.

Logan & Cove Choice Mattress Layers

• Layer 1: The first layer is 1″ of breathable hollow fibre fill and cooling gel-infused foam. It’s quilted directly under the tight-top cover, providing a degree of plushness and directly dissipating your body heat when you’re lying down.
• Layer 2: The second layer is 1″ of ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam. This foam layer provides excellent comfort and pressure-point relief, conforming to your body’s shape while also wicking away heat and moisture.
• Layer 3: The third layer is 1″ of Elastex® foam. This layer contours around your body, providing latex-like responsiveness and pressure relief, but without any of the allergy-causing chemicals in many natural latex mattresses.
• Layer 4: The support layer is 9″ of individually pocketed coils. Made of double-tempered steel, these coils are divided into 3 body-supporting zones to give contouring support for your back and hips. This layer is also encased with 4″-thick edge support foam along the sidewalls to give you more support when sitting on your bed, or lying farther away from the middle.

Silk & Snow Hybrid Mattress Layers

• Layer 1: The comfort layer is 1″ of quilted cooling gel foam and holofibre fill, adding a touch of softness for a plush and refreshing feel.
• Layer 2: The transition layer is 2″ of high-density cooling gel-infused memory foam. This helps shape the overall feel and firmness of the mattress while providing pressure-point relief.
• Layer 3: With 8″ of double-tempered pocketed spring coils, the support layer provides extra support under the hips and shoulders. The foundation also offers a bit of bounce while limiting motion transfer.

Silk & Snow Hybrid’s top cover is polyester. Logan & Cove Choice’s cover is a premium mix of polyester, polyethylene, and spandex, with diamond tufting and accent stitching for a luxury feel. The quilted cover includes cooling nanofibres, giving you a cooler and more comfortable night’s sleep.
