Hush and Logan & Cove are both Canadian-made hybrid mattresses with a medium-firm feel, but their similarities end there. When comparing Hush vs Logan & Cove, both offer above-average motion isolation and edge support. However, despite being advertised as a cooling mattress, the Hush Graph-Iced Mattress has fewer cooling features than Logan & Cove Frontier. Only Frontier has cooling gel foam, a layer of micro coils for airflow, and a top cover that includes CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres, a breathable hollow fibre fill, and more gel-infused foam.

Logan & Cove offers a longer 365-night sleep trial and 15-year warranty, compared to Hush’s 100-night trial and 10-year warranty. Frontier also comes with a free bedding bundle and is priced at just $1,299 for a queen size, while Hush costs $2,099.

Firmness

According to third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), the Hush Graph-Iced Mattress earned a firmness score of 6.1/10, and Logan & Cove Frontier scored 6.3/10. Both of these mattresses fall into the medium-firm category, which is ideal for all sleep styles, whether you sleep on your side, back, or stomach.

However, if you want a slightly firmer mattress with a plush Euro-top, we think you’ll prefer Logan & Cove Frontier.

Edge Support

Because of their construction, hybrid mattresses are known for having better edge support than foam mattresses. Hush Graph-Iced scored 6.3/10, which is an above-average score, but you could notice some sinkage when sitting on the edge of the bed or sleeping farther away from the middle.

Logan and Cove Frontier scored a higher edge support score of 7.3/10. You should have plenty of support while sitting on the edge of the bed, and you’ll have no trouble getting up in the morning.

Motion Isolation

Motion isolation is important for enjoying a good night’s sleep without being disturbed by a restless partner, kids, or pets. The Hush Graph-Iced Mattress scored 8.0/10 for motion isolation, and Logan & Frontier scored 7.0/10. Both scores are above average, meaning you can move around and change sleeping positions without disturbing your partner.

Bounce

Thanks to their coil layers, innerspring and hybrid mattresses are known for having more bounce and responsiveness than foam mattresses. The Hush Graph-Iced Mattress scored a 4.1/10 for bounce, which is below average for a hybrid mattress. Combined with the mattress’s “hugging” sensation, this could make it more difficult to move around or change sleeping positions.

If you want a hybrid mattress with a more responsive sleep surface, you might prefer Logan & Cove Frontier with its bounce rating of 4.8/10.

Cooling Features

Hush Graph-Iced and Logan & Cove Choice are both constructed with advanced cooling features, but some cooling technologies work better than others.

Hush Graph-Iced earned a cooling features score of 3.5/10 from its graphite-infused foam layers, its ventilated transition layer, its IcedShift cooling band that offers unclear benefits, and its pocketed coil layer that promotes greater airflow.

Logan & Cove Choice features more advanced cooling technologies, such as a cooling top cover with gel-infused foam, CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres, a layer of ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam, Elastex® foam (a breathable open-cell foam similar to latex), and pocketed coils. All these features give Logan & Cove Choice a higher cooling features score of 4.4/10.

Mattress Construction

Logan & Cove Frontier and the Hush Graph-Iced Mattress are Canadian-made hybrid mattresses designed with cooling features and pocket coil layers. However, they are constructed very differently.

Logan & Cove Frontier Mattress Layers

• Layer 1: The first layer is 1″ of breathable hollow fibre fill and cooling gel-infused foam. It’s quilted directly under the Euro-top cover, providing a degree of plushness and directly dissipating your body heat when you’re lying down.
• Layer 2: The second is 1″ of ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam that provides gentle cushioning and targeted relief for your shoulders, hips, and knees. It also helps control excess body heat for a cooler, more comfortable sleep.
• Layer 3: This layer features 1″ of aeroduct micro-coils to help keep temperatures down and provide extra body-contouring support. The coils are arranged to help air circulate across the entire mattress.
• Layer 4: This 1.5″ layer of Elastex® foam contours around your body, providing comfort for any sleeping position.
• Layer 5: The support layer contains 9″ of individually wrapped steel pocketed coils. The coils are strategically placed in a three-zone system across the mattress, giving you excellent contoured support.

The ⅞” quilted Euro-top cover includes CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibers, a breathable hollow fibre fill, and gel-infused foam to keep you cool while you sleep. This soft, plush cover boasts an elegant diamond and wave pattern and is crafted from a blend of polyester, polyethylene, and spandex. Given Frontier’s affordable price point, this level of luxury styling is a rare find in the bed-in-a-box industry.

While the mattress cover can’t be removed, it can be spot-cleaned. The mattress also comes with a free bedding bundle that includes a machine-washable mattress protector.

Hush Graph-Iced Mattress Layers

• Layer 1: The top layer is 1″ of graphite-infused memory foam. This layer conforms the most to your body as you lie down. The graphite contributes to the mattress’s cooling and is also antimicrobial.
• Layer 2: The second layer is 1″ of graphite-infused memory foam. Like the first layer, the graphite in this layer adds to the mattress’s cooling and antimicrobial properties.
• Layer 3: The third layer is 2″ of ventilated foam. Air channels carved into the bottom of this layer make it breathable, and Hush claims the IcedShift Cooling Band on top wicks heat away from your body. It’s not clear what this band is or how it provides cooling benefits.
• Layer 4: The fourth layer is 6″ of individually pocketed metal coils. This layer is encased with foam along the sidewalls to increase edge support.
• Layer 5: The bottom layer of the mattress is 2″ of higher-density support foam. This layer acts as a base for the coil layer above and insulates the mattress from the bed frame.

The Hush Graph-Iced Mattress has a machine-washable top cover made from a polyester and polypropylene blend. Both materials are known for their durability, but not for having cooling properties. In fact, polyester can trap heat, so it needs breathable, cooling features to counteract the heat.

Unlike most cooling mattresses we’ve reviewed, Hush’s top cover doesn’t contain any cooling features at all.

Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns

Hush and Logan & Cove both ship by ground using FedEx. Including time taken to dispatch your order, Logan & Cove Frontier will be delivered directly to your doorstep in 2–11 business days, while Hush Graph-Iced will arrive in 6–9 business days. However, additional fees may apply to both mattresses for delivery to some remote locations.

Hush customers have reported issues with shipping and customer service on third-party review sites like Better Business Bureau and Trustpilot. In fact, Hush is rated “F” (unaccredited) on the Better Business Bureau and “Bad” on Trustpilot. Logan & Cove, on the other hand, has a significantly better online reputation. The company is rated “A+” on BBB and “Excellent” on Trustpilot.

Logan & Cove offers a 365-night sleep trial, compared to Hush’s 100-night trial. If you decide to return your mattress, Logan & Cove and Hush will pick up returns within the sleep trial period. While Logan & Cove offers free returns, Hush deducts the cost of return shipping from your refund. It’s worth noting that some Hush customers have complained of issues with product returns.

You only get Hush’s sleep trial and returns if you order from the Hush website. If you buy the mattress from Sleep Country, you’ll get their 100-night sleep guarantee, which comes with a one-time exchange and a $65 exchange fee. You’ll have to pay the difference if you choose a more expensive replacement mattress. You’ll also have to return the mattress to the nearest store yourself.

Finally, Logan & Cove has a much longer 15-year warranty, while Hush’s industry-standard warranty is just 10 years. Hush’s warranty only covers manufacturing defects, and not incidental damage—including any damage the mattress may receive during shipping. This is somewhat concerning since our mattress was delivered in a damaged box held together by packing tape.
