Which Is Better: Haven or Logan & Cove?

Logan & Cove Pinnacle and Haven LUX Hybrid are both hybrid mattresses, but that’s where the similarities end. Logan & Cove Pinnacle’s luxury Euro-top design features zoned support and two layers of body-contouring micro-coils, a 365-night sleep trial, a generous 15 warranty, and a free bedding bundle—and is available for just $1,699 for a queen size.

Haven LUX Hybrid, in comparison, is a pillow-top hybrid mattress with some advanced cooling features, including a layer of latex foam. However, its 100-night sleep trial and 10-year warranty are only standard for the industry. It also costs $1,950 for a queen size, which is notably more than Logan & Cove Pinnacle.

If you’re shopping for a luxury hybrid mattress with premium features at an accessible price, Logan & Cove Pinnacle is the clear winner.

Mattress Breakdown

When comparing Logan & Cove vs Haven, Logan & Cove Pinnacle outperforms Haven LUX Hybrid in several key areas. In addition to lower edge support, Haven’s 100-night sleep trial and 10-year warranty are only standard for the industry. It also costs more at $1,950 for a queen size. While the mattress has advanced cooling features and a pillow-top design, it’s not clear whether these features balance out the higher price.

Logan & Cove Pinnacle offers a more generous 365-night sleep trial and 15-year warranty. In addition to its luxury Euro-top design, Pinnacle has an innovative three-zoned support system and two layers of body-contouring micro coils for comfort and pressure-point relief. Logan & Cove mattresses also come with a free bedding bundle, while Haven mattresses do not. All of Pinnacle’s features are available for just $1,699 for a queen size.

Firmness

Haven LUX Hybrid has a medium feel, meaning it provides a balance of comfort and support. This level of firmness can be comfortable for side and back sleepers. If you’re a stomach sleeper, you may find the mattress a little too soft. Haven’s pillow-top also provides a fair amount of sink, so heavier bodies could settle more deeply into the mattress’s surface.

In comparison, Logan & Cove Pinnacle has a medium-firm feel. This slightly firmer feel is ideal for all sleep styles and should feel comfortable whether you sleep on your side, back, or stomach. While the mattress has a plush sensation, it also provides greater support to ensure proper spinal alignment while you sleep.

Edge Support

Hybrid mattresses generally have better edge support than foam mattresses. However, despite both being hybrids, Haven and Logan & Cove scored very differently for edge support in third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us).

Haven LUX Hybrid scored just 3.2/10 for edge support, which is very poor for a hybrid. This low score is due in part to its pillow-top construction, which adds considerable plushness and a sinking feeling when you sit on the edge of the mattress.

Logan & Cove Pinnacle, on the other hand, has a much higher edge support score of 6.0/10. This is great when sitting on the edge or sleeping farther away from the middle— you won’t sink as deeply into the sidewalls.

Motion Isolation

Hybrid mattresses tend to have better motion isolation than innerspring mattresses, but not as good as all-foam mattresses. However, newer hybrids often have excellent motion isolation. Both Logan & Cove and Haven performed well in this area.

Logan & Cove Pinnacle scored slightly above average for motion isolation with its score of 5.5/10. Haven LUX Hybrid earned a higher score of 7.3/10. That said, either mattress should keep you from feeling most movements from the other side of the bed.

Bounce

Hybrids are usually bouncier than all-foam mattresses because of their coil layers. Latex layers can also add a higher level of bounce. Haven LUX Hybrid scored 6.4/10 for bounce, due to its layer of Talalay latex foam. While you won’t have any trouble getting out of bed or changing sleep positions, you might find the mattress is too responsive for a restful night’s sleep.

Logan & Cove Pinnacle earned a lower bounce score of 5.1/10, which is good if you’re a light sleeper who’s easily woken up. Its layer of Elastex® foam is designed to be as responsive as latex while providing a more consistent sleep surface.

Cooling Features

Hybrid mattresses often incorporate memory foam in their construction, which can be known to trap heat. That’s one reason why many hybrid mattresses add cooling features to stop you from overheating while you sleep.

Haven LUX Hybrid has several advanced cooling features, earning a score of 6.2/10. This cooling features score is due to its moisture-wicking bamboo cover and layers of open-cell foam, Talalay latex, cooling gel memory foam, micro coils, and individually pocketed coils. That said, given the mattress’s plush pillow-top surface, you could find you sink down too far and experience heat trapping as a result.

Logan & Cove, in comparison, earned a lower but still respectable cooling features score of 4.7/10. This is due to its cooling top cover made with gel-infused foam, CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres, ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam, breathable Elastex® foam, aeroduct micro-coil layers, and support layer of individually pocketed coils.

Though Logan & Cove offers slightly fewer cooling features than Haven, Pinnacle is also priced at just $1,699 for a queen size—notably lower than Haven LUX Hybrid.

Both Haven and Logan & Cove are 6-layer hybrid mattresses containing layers of cooling gel foam, micro coils, and individually pocketed coils. Logan & Cove features a Euro-top design, while Haven has a pillow-top surface. Both mattresses have advanced cooling technologies, including cooling covers.

Logan & Cove Pinnacle Layers

  • Layer 1: The first layer is 1.5″ of breathable hollow fibre fill and cooling gel-infused foam. It’s quilted directly under the Euro-top cover, providing plushness and directly dissipating your body heat when you’re lying down.
  • Layer 2: The comfort layer features 1″ of ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam, which adds to the mattress’s plush feel and helps keep you cool.
  • Layer 3: The second layer uses 1″ of responsive micro-coils, which enhance airflow and provide additional contouring support.
  • Layer 4: This layer consists of 1″ of breathable Elastex™ foam, which separates the upper micro-coil layer from the one immediately below, adding to the mattress’s body-contouring responsiveness.
  • Layer 5: The fourth layer uses 1″ of responsive micro-coils, working with the micro-coil layer above to give your body even more contoured support.
  • Layer 6: The support layer includes 9″ of individually wrapped steel pocketed coils arranged in a three-zone system to provide tailored support for your upper, middle, and lower body. Beneath this coil layer is a 0.5″ fabric pad for added protection.

Pinnacle’s 1.5″ plush Euro-top cover is woven from a mix of polyester, polyethylene, and spandex. Quilted in a classic diamond pattern, it’s engineered to give you both luxury comfort and luxury cooling. It’s woven with CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres and contains a breathable hollow-fibre fill, along with an extra layer of cooling gel foam, for the coolest and most comfortable sleep possible.

Haven LUX Hybrid Layers

  • Layer 1: The top layer of the Haven LUX Hybrid mattress is a 0.5″ layer of open-cell bio foam. This layer provides some softness when you first lie down.
  • Layer 2: This layer is a 1″ sheet of Talalay latex and copper-infused foam. This is part of what gives the mattress its high bounce score. The added copper helps with temperature regulation, making sure things stay cool during the night.
  • Layer 3: This 1″ layer of cooling gel memory foam has an open-cell design, which helps keep the mattress airy and avoid overheating while you sleep at night.
  • Layer 4: Depending on which firmness option you choose, this 1″ layer of open-cell foam provides varying levels of support. Classic Plush keeps a consistent feel throughout the layer, while Classic Plush + Advanced Pressure Relief has a softer part in the middle, meant to give your shoulders and hips a bit more support.
  • Layer 5: A 1″ layer of micro coils helps contour and support your body weight as you sleep. These work together with the pocket coils below to provide extra body contouring and support.
  • Layer 6: The bottom (support) layer is made up of 9″ pocket coils. These coils are individually wrapped to reduce motion transfer. Around the edge, they’ve got a 4″-thick wall of support foam to keep everything steady and prevent too much sinkage around the pillow-top.

Haven comes in two firmness options: Classic Plush (firm) and Classic + Advanced Pressure Relief (medium). Its cover is made from bamboo fibres and is meant to wick moisture away from your body. This cover isn’t removable or machine washable and can only be spot-cleaned, which can be more difficult with a pillow-top mattress.

Both Haven and Logan & Cove ship by ground via FedEx. Your mattress is delivered directly to your doorstep in most parts of Canada, though an additional fee may apply for some remote locations. Logan & Cove is sent from Ontario or Alberta directly to your door in 2–11 business days, including dispatch and delivery time. In comparison, Haven will arrive in 4–9 business days.

Both mattresses arrive in a cardboard box and are protected by layers of heavy-duty plastic. Once unrolled, both mattresses should expand quickly and be ready to sleep on the same day they’re delivered.

Both companies offer free return pickup service and a full refund. However, if you live in a remote area, Haven requires you to return the mattress to its factory of origin in pristine, like-new condition to qualify for a refund.
