Logan & Cove and Casper are two popular mattress brands available in Canada. Logan & Cove Choice comes with advanced cooling features, luxury details, premium construction, and a three-zoned coil system for a more luxurious sleep experience. It also comes with a 365-night sleep trial, 15-year warranty, and free bedding bundle—all for just $999 for a queen size.
In comparison, Casper Atlas is the brand’s entry-level hybrid mattress and costs $1,199 for a queen size, despite lacking the cooling and comfort features found in Logan & Cove. Casper comes with only a 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty, and it doesn’t come with a bedding bundle. Overall, Casper provides less value at a higher price point, which is why Logan & Cove is the clear winner.

This allows us to accurately rate and compare the performance of the mattresses reviewed on this website. Engineer independence and operating standards help ensure their results remain unbiased, valid, and reliable. Each mattress was evaluated using the same strict mattress testing methodology to protect the overall integrity of the results. The full report has been given the official stamp of approval from an APEGA-certified engineer operating under a strict ethical code of conduct.
Mattress testing conducted outside of this professional standard poses a greater risk of validity errors or reviewer bias.

When tested by third-party engineers (commissioned by us), Casper Atlas and Logan & Cove Choice were both classified as medium-firm. Casper Atlas received a firmness score of 6.5/10. The Casper website doesn’t specify how soft or firm this mattress is meant to be, so it’s hard to say if this mattress performed true to its intended firmness.
Logan & Cove, on the other hand, received a firmness score of 6.9/10. This mattress is slightly firmer but is still designed to be medium-firm, making it true to its advertised firmness level. Logan & Cove’s zoned coil system gives it additional support to ensure proper spinal alignment throughout the night while also relieving pressure points.
Logan & Cove and Casper both performed very well for edge support. Both mattresses include foam wall encasement to provide extra support at the edge of the mattress, resulting in a 7.5/10 edge support score for Logan & Cove, and 7.8/10 for Casper. You should be able to sit comfortably on the edge of either mattress (or sleep farther away from the middle) without worrying about falling off.
While inner coils are often known for poor motion isolation, hybrid mattresses also use layers of foam and other materials that soften your partner’s movements. This reduces motion transfer and can provide a more restful sleep.
Casper Atlas received an excellent motion isolation score of 8.0/10. Logan & Cove Choice also performed well with a score of 7.5/10. You shouldn’t feel large movements on either mattress, helping you sleep undisturbed.
Mattresses with coil systems tend to have above-average responsiveness and bounce. Casper Atlas scored well above average at 6.8/10, which could be good if you enjoy a very responsive mattress.
However, if you prefer a more consistent sleep surface, and a balance between responsiveness and motion isolation, you may prefer Logan & Cove Choice with its lower bounce score of 5.8/10 bounce score.
Since foam is known for heat trapping, many modern mattresses include cooling properties to help balance temperatures throughout the night. Pocket coil construction allows for better air circulation than mattresses made with strictly foam, but that may not be enough on its own to keep a sleeper feeling cool and comfortable.
Casper Atlas received a cooling feature score of just 1.8/10. It received some points because of its innerspring system and its Cozy Knit cover, which is designed for breathability despite being 99% polyester. Although Atlas is Casper’s value hybrid mattress, we’d expect greater cooling at a price point of $1,199 for a queen size.
In comparison, Logan & Cove Choice received a higher cooling feature score of 4.4/10. On top of its zoned pocket coil system which allows for airflow, Choice earned points for its layers of gel-infused foam and breathable Elastex® foam, as well as a top cover mage with cooling nanofibres, breathable hollow fibre fill, and more cooling gel foam. At $999 for a queen size, Logan & Cove delivers better temperature regulation than Casper, and at a lower price.

Logan & Cove Choice and Casper Atlas are both 4-layer medium-firm hybrid mattresses available in Canada. Choice is made in Canada and stands 12″ tall, while Casper Atlas is American-made and 10″ in height.
The Logan & Cove mattress features luxury detailing that often isn’t available in beds at its accessible price point of $999 for a queen size. Breathable hollow fibre-fill and cooling gel foam are tufted under a CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibre cover to help regulate temperatures throughout the night.
Although the cover isn’t removable for washing, your purchase will come with a free mattress protector (and more) to help guard your mattress from spills and stains.
Casper Atlas’s mattress cover is made from their Cozy Knit material—99% polyester and 1% spandex. The company describes the Cozy Knit cover as breathable, although that isn’t one of polyester’s strong suits.
The Atlas mattress has a zipper, and the law label says the top portion of the cover can be machine-washed, but the Casper website says not to remove the cover for any reason. To be safe, we recommend spot-cleaning this mattress only.
Choose Logan & Cove and enjoy a plush, cooling mattress cover.
