In comparison, Polysleep Sierra has a firm feel, which side sleepers may find uncomfortable. It has good edge support and motion isolation but doesn’t provide any advanced cooling features. Firmness

In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), Juno tested as medium-firm, with a firmness score of 6.0/10. This makes it ideal for all sleep styles, offering a well-rounded combination of support and comfort, with slightly more “hugging” sensation, and better pressure point relief.

Polysleep, on the other hand, scored 7.0/10 for firmness, putting it in the firm category. This level of firmness can be comfortable for back and stomach sleepers, but you may feel more pressure on your hips if you sleep on your side.

Edge Support

Foam mattresses aren’t typically known for high edge support. However, Juno has excellent edge support with a score of 8.0/10. The Polysleep mattress scored lower at 7.5/10. You should be able to sit on the edge of the bed comfortably with either mattress, but if you’re looking for better edge support to get out of bed more easily, Juno’s the better option.

Motion Isolation

Motion isolation is important to enjoying a good night’s sleep without being disturbed by a restless partner on the other side of the bed. Juno has an above-average motion isolation score of 6.2/10. Polysleep also had an above-average score of 7.2/10.

Bounce

Polysleep has a bounce rating of 4.8/10—a slightly above-average score for a foam mattress. While bounce is more of a preference, it’s important to know the bounce ratings of various mattresses if getting an undisturbed sleep is important to you.

Juno has a lower bounce rating of 2.5/10, which is ideal if you’re a light sleeper who wakes up easily. Even with a lower bounce rating, you should still be able to change sleep positions on Juno with no problem.

Cooling Features

Foam mattresses can be known to trap heat, so even budget-value foam mattresses often incorporate cooling features to prevent heat-trapping and promote temperature balance. However, this isn’t always the case.

Polysleep has only one cooling feature worth noting, which is its open-cell memory foam that promotes airflow. This earns Polysleep a cooling feature score of 0.8/10. If you’re a hot sleeper, you may experience overheating when sleeping on this mattress.

Juno earned a higher cooling feature score of 2.4/10. This score is due to the mattress’s layer of cooling gel foam that actively dissipates heat, as well as its optional Cool+ cover made from special cooling yarn. If you’re looking for an affordable mattress to help you sleep at night without getting hot, Juno is your best choice.

Mattress Construction

Juno and Polysleep are both all-foam mattresses. Juno contains 2 foam layers, one of which is a cooling gel foam layer. Polysleep also has 2 foam layers, but has no advanced cooling features in its cover or interior.

Juno Mattress Layers

• Layer 1: The comfort layer consists of 2″ of full-body cooling gel foam, giving you contoured comfort and a cool night’s sleep. It has a foam density of 2.5 lb/ft³.
• Layer 2: The support layer is 6″ of total support foam, which makes the mattress feel firmer, provides extra edge support, and reduces motion transfer from the other side of the bed. Its foam density is 1.85 lb/ft³.

Polysleep Mattress Layers

• Layer 1: The top layer of the mattress is 2″ of open-cell memory foam. According to Polysleep, this layer is anti-microbial, but the company doesn’t specify what gives the foam this property. It’s also important to note that memory foam is known for heat trapping. The layer’s open-cell design may not be enough to keep temperatures comfortable, so you may notice overheating at night.
• Layer 2: The support layer is 7″ of Polysleep’s proprietary foam. This dense layer gives the mattress most of its bulk, and prevents you from sinking too deeply into it when lying down. It likely contributes to the mattress’s firmer feel, too.

Both Juno and Polysleep Sierra covers are not machine washable and should be spot-cleaned only. However, Juno comes with a free bedding bundle, which includes a mattress protector. This means it will be much easier to keep your mattress clean.

Polysleep’s cover is 100% polyester, while Juno’s is a blend of viscose and polyester, making it more breathable. If you want extra cooling, you can upgrade to Juno’s moisture-wicking Cool+ cover.

Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns

Juno ships by ground for free using FedEx. Your mattress will be delivered directly to your door throughout most parts of Canada in 2–10 business days, including dispatch and delivery time. Additional fees may apply for some remote locations.

Polysleep ships for free using UPS and FedEx, and should reach your doorstep in 4–9 business days. If you live in a remote area, like the Yukon, Northwest Territories, or Nunavut, you’ll have to pay an additional shipping fee.

Juno’s sleep trial is longer at 120 nights, compared to Polysleep’s 100-night trial. Polysleep’s sleep trial is unavailable if you live in the Canadian Territories. Juno has a 15-year warranty, while Polysleep Sierra only comes with a 5-year warranty—one-third the length of Juno’s.

Juno will pick up returns for free within the sleep trial period and issue a full refund. The company will also donate your returned mattress to a local charity in your area, or recycle the mattress if donation isn’t possible.

If you want to return your Polysleep mattress, you can only do so after 45 nights of the sleep trial—almost half of the trial period. You will only receive a partial refund and will have to pay a return fee of $89.95 plus tax.
