Mattress Breakdown

Both Endy and Juno offer above-average motion isolation and a medium-firm feel. However, The Endy has a significant amount of hug. This means you will sink partway into the mattress when you lie down, and you could find it difficult to move. You might even feel warmer while you’re sleeping. Juno has “hug” without sink, and the cooling gel foam layer helps you sleep comfortably at a budget-friendly price.

Third-party review sites like Better Business Bureau and Trustpilot are important sources of unbiased information about the customer experience for each mattress. Juno is rated “A+” on BBB and “Excellent” on Trustpilot. While Endy is also rated “A+” on BBB, the company’s page has zero reviews at the time of writing. Endy is also rated only “Average” on Trustpilot, based on only a handful of reviews.

Firmness

Both Endy and Juno are medium-firm mattresses. Endy, however, has a significant amount of hug, meaning you will sink partway into the mattress when you lie down. A sinking feeling paired with Endy’s firmness score of 5.7/10 could mean you’ll find it more difficult to move, which isn’t ideal if you like to sleep in more than one position. This sinking feeling may also lead to heat trapping and too-warm nights—especially since The Endy doesn’t have a layer of cooling gel foam to balance out temperatures.

Juno is a true medium-firm mattress, and scored a 6.0/10 when tested for firmness. It offers a well-rounded combination of support and comfort that feels like a gentle hug, but with less “sink” than The Endy. Juno also comes with a cooling gel layer to help you sleep more comfortably.

Edge Support

Foam mattresses aren’t typically known for high edge support. However, Juno has an excellent edge support score of 8.0/10. The Endy scored lower at 7.3/10. With Juno, you can sit comfortably on the edge of the bed, and you’ll have no trouble getting up in the morning.

Motion Isolation

Motion isolation is important to enjoying a good night’s sleep without being disturbed by a restless partner, kids, or pets. Foam mattresses tend to provide good motion isolation, and Juno is no different with an above-average score of 6.2/10. Endy also scored well with 7.4/10.

Bounce

Endy has a bounce rating of 5.5/10. This is about average for a foam mattress, but it may mean you’ll notice more nighttime movement.

While bounce is more of a preference, Juno’s below-average bounce rating of 2.5/10 is ideal if you’re a light sleeper who’s easily woken. Juno also has less sink than The Endy, so even with the low bounce rating, you should still be able to change positions easily.

Cooling Features

While many modern foam mattresses incorporate cooling features to help prevent heat-trapping and promote airflow for a comfortable night’s sleep, some mattresses contain more cooling features than others.

Endy earned a cooling feature score of just 0.8/10. This is due to the mattress’s layer of open-cell foam, which Endy says promotes airflow and breathability.

The more affordable Juno earned a higher cooling feature score of 2.4/10. This score is due to the mattress’s cooling cover made from special cooling yarn and a layer of cooling gel foam that keeps your sleep surface cool and promotes enhanced air circulation.

Both Juno and Endy are combination foam mattresses. Juno contains 2 layers, one of which is a cooling gel layer. Endy has 3 layers, but limited cooling features.

Juno is open about its mattress construction and foam density. However, when MattressReviews.ca contacted Endy, they declined to share any composition or density details about Endy Comfort Foam, other than saying it’s 100% polyurethane.

Juno Mattress Layers

  • Layer 1: The comfort layer consists of 2″ of full-body cooling gel foam, giving you contoured comfort and a cool night’s sleep. It has a foam density of 2.5 lb/ft³.
  • Layer 2: The support layer is 6″ of total support foam, which makes the mattress feel firmer, provides extra edge support, and reduces motion transfer from the other side of the bed. Its foam density is 1.85 lb/ft³.

Juno’s cover design pays tribute to the classic striped wool socks that have been a staple in Canadian wardrobes for generations. Its knit material is made from polyester and viscose, with a prominent berry stripe along one end of the mattress. While the mattress cover cannot be removed, it can be spot cleaned, and the mattress comes with a free bedding bundle with purchase that includes a mattress protector.

Endy Mattress Layers

  • Layer 1: The 2″ comfort layer is made of Endy Comfort Foam, which provides some “hug” with a fair bit of sink. Endy also claims that the foam’s open-cell design improves airflow and keeps you cool while you sleep.
  • Layer 2: The 3″ transition layer of foam helps provide pressure relief for a more comfortable, tension-free sleep.
  • Layer 3: The 5″ support layer is designed to reduce motion transfer. This is important if you’re a light sleeper and your partner tosses and turns in their sleep.

Endy has a removable, machine-washable top cover that is mainly made of polyester, with a small amount of Spandex for four-way stretch. The cover is two-toned, blending heavy-duty grey fabric at the bottom with a white, diamond-knit pattern on top.

In comparing Juno vs Endy, both mattresses have similar delivery methods. They both ship by ground using FedEx. Your mattress is delivered directly to your door throughout most parts of Canada. Additional fees may apply for some remote locations.

Both mattresses are shipped in cardboard boxes and protected by layers of heavy-duty plastic. Once unrolled, Juno fully expands in two minutes and Endy in three. Both Juno and Endy are sleep-ready on delivery day.

Juno’s sleep trial is longer at 120 nights, compared to Endy’s 100-night trial. Juno also has a longer 15-year warranty. In comparison, Endy has only a 10-year warranty by default. You have the option to extend the warranty by another five years if you register the product, but this involves joining the company’s email list.

If you return your mattress for a full refund, Juno and Endy will pick up returns for free within the sleep trial period. Both companies will donate your returned mattress to a local charity in your area, or recycle the mattress if donation isn’t possible.
