Logan & Cove Frontier and Helix Midnight are both hybrid mattresses available in Canada. Helix mattresses are known for their many customization options, all of which come at an extra cost. In addition to the base cost of $1,919 for a queen size, you’ll also pay an additional $250 to ship the mattress to Canada.
Many of Helix’s upgraded features, like the cooling cover, come standard with Logan & Cove mattresses. And only Logan & Cove comes with a 365-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, free shipping to most locations across Canada, and a free bedding bundle—all for just $1,299 for a queen size.
When comparing Helix vs Logan & Cove, both have a medium-firm feel and score well for edge support and motion isolation. However, Helix Midnight‘s base model doesn’t have many cooling features or zoned support. This American mattress has a base price of $1,919 for a queen size, meaning you’ll pay even more to get features that are commonly found in other hybrid mattresses.
In contrast, Logan & Cove Frontier comes with luxury Euro-top construction and three-zoned support for extra reinforcement under your back and hips. Its advanced cooling technologies include a cooling nanofibre cover, premium cooling foams, breathable pocket coils, and aeroduct micro-coils. All of these features work together to provide better airflow and a refreshing sleep surface. Despite all these luxury features, the Canadian-made Frontier mattress is available at just $1,299 for a queen size.

This allows us to accurately rate and compare the performance of the mattresses reviewed on this website. Engineer independence and operating standards help ensure their results remain unbiased, valid, and reliable. Each mattress was evaluated using the same strict mattress testing methodology to protect the overall integrity of the results. In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), Logan & Cove Frontier and Helix Midnight both scored 6.3/10 for firmness. This translates to a medium-firm feel, which is ideal for all sleep styles. Both mattress should provide a good balance of comfort and support. That said, only Logan & Cove Frontier offers zoned support in its coil layers for extra reinforcement underneath your back and hips.
Hybrid mattresses tend to have better edge support compared to foam mattresses. Frontier’s reinforced foam sidewalls contribute to its 7.3/10 edge support score, which is very good for a hybrid. Helix Midnight also performed well with a score of 8.5/10. You should have no trouble sitting or sleeping farther away from the middle on either mattress.
A mattress with good motion isolation is important if you want restful sleep, especially if you share your bed with a partner, pet, or kids. Both Logan & Cove Frontier and Helix Midnight perform well in this area. Logan & Cove Frontier scored 7.0/10 for motion isolation, while Helix Midnight scored 7.9/10. You can expect to sleep through the night undisturbed on both mattresses.
Bounce is a matter of preference. A higher bounce score is good if you need more responsiveness to help you out of bed in the morning, but lower bounce can help you sleep better—especially if you’re a light sleeper.
Helix Midnight scored 5.1/10 for bounce, which is average for a hybrid mattress. Logan & Cove Frontier earned a slightly lower bounce score of 4.8/10. This allows for a more consistent sleep surface and can promote a more restful sleep.
Many modern mattresses come with cooling technologies to keep you comfortable throughout the night. However, Helix Midnight earned a cooling features score of just 1.8/10 due to its optional cooling cover and layer of breathable pocketed coils. Helix is customizable and more advanced cooling features are available, but this requires a paid upgrade.
Logan & Cove Frontier earned a much higher cooling features score of 4.7/10. This is thanks to the cool-to-the-touch CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres, cooling gel-infused foam, and breathable hollow-fibre fill inside its Euro-top cover. The mattress also comes with layers of ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam, breathable Elastex® foam, and breathable pocket coils and aeroduct micro-coils.

Helix Midnight and Logan & Cove Frontier are both hybrid mattresses with pocket coil support layers. Logan & Cove Frontier features a plush Euro-top cover, stands 13.5” tall, and has 5 interior layers. Helix Midnight has a tight-top cover, is 11.5″ tall, and has 5 interior layers.
Logan & Cove Frontier has a Euro-top cover that’s made with CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres, a breathable hollow-fibre fill, and cooling gel-infused foam. The cover is designed with an elegant diamond-weave pattern and contains polyester, polyethylene, and spandex. This cover isn’t removable or machine washable, but Logan & Cove’s free bedding bundle includes a mattress protector to make maintaining your mattress a breeze.
Helix Midnight’s mattress cover is made of 100% polyester. The company claims the cover is breathable, but polyester isn’t naturally breathable and can trap heat. Helix offers an optional upgrade to a GlacioTex™ pillow-top cover, which uses a heat-wicking 50/50 blend of polyester and polyethylene. However, this upgrade adds hundreds of dollars to the mattress’s price.
Neither cover is removable or machine washable. Spills or stains need to be spot-cleaned only. You’ll also need to purchase a mattress protector separately.

Helix mattresses are delivered via FedEx and arrive at your doorstep in 4–9 business days, including the time to dispatch and deliver your order. However, Helix charges a $250 shipping fee to deliver to Canada, no matter where in the country you live.
In comparison, Logan & Cove will also ship your mattress via FedEx. It should arrive within 2–11 business days, including dispatch and delivery time. Shipping is free across most regions in Canada, and you’ll only pay an additional shipping fee if you live in a remote area.
Both Logan & Cove and Helix will ship your mattress rolled and compressed in a cardboard box, protected by two sheets of heavy-duty plastic. Once unrolled and allowed to expand, both mattresses should expand to their full size in a matter of minutes. However, the Helix website’s FAQ states that your mattress should be given two hours to regain its shape before sleeping on it.
Helix offers an industry-standard 100-night sleep trial and 10-year warranty. The company only allows returns after the first 30 nights of the sleep trial have passed. You can also return the mattress within 45 days of your sleep trial ending, but this is still a much shorter return window than Logan & Cove’s. Returns come with free pickup service, and your mattress will be donated to one of Helix’s charity partners or recycled.
Logan & Cove offers a much longer 365-night sleep trial and 15-year warranty. You can return your Logan & Cove mattress after an adjustment period of just 21 nights. Like Helix, Logan & Cove also offers free return pickup service. The company will either donate your mattress to charity or have it recycled, depending on the options available in your area.
