The Emma Hybrid Comfort mattress is described as medium-firm. However, testing by third-party engineers (commissioned by us) proved it feels much firmer than this, with a firmness score of 7.8/10. This firmness level should feel supportive for stomach and back sleepers, but may lack comfort, and cause too many pressure points for side sleepers.
Logan & Cove Choice scored a 6.9/10 for firmness, placing it in the medium-firm category as advertised. Medium-firm mattresses suit all sleep styles as they balance comfort and support well. Choice has a plush, comfortable surface for added comfort while still providing all the support sleepers need in any position.
If you tend to sit or sleep on the edge of your mattress, good edge support will be an important factor when choosing your next mattress. Emma Hybrid Comfort performed well for edge support, scoring 7.3/10. Logan & Cove Choice received a higher edge support score of 7.5/10. You should feel supported on the edge of either mattress and be able to get out of bed with no trouble.
When tested for motion isolation, Emma Hybrid Comfort performed well with a score of 6.7/10. This score is above average for a hybrid mattress, so you’re less likely to notice smaller movements from your partner.
However, Logan & Cove Choice received an excellent motion isolation score of 7.5/10. This high-performing score means you shouldn’t feel most movements coming from the other side of the mattress. If getting undisturbed sleep is important to you—especially if you share a bed with a partner, pet, or child—you may prefer sleeping on Logan & Cove over Emma.
Because of their innerspring system, hybrid mattresses are known to be bouncier than their all-foam counterparts. These elevated bounce scores typically make it easier to change positions throughout the night and get out of bed in the morning.
Emma Hybrid Comfort scored 5.2/10 for bounce, which is average for a hybrid mattress, while Logan & Cove Choice scored a little higher at 5.8/10.
If you value cool and comfortable sleep, Logan & Cove Choice could be a good fit. It features a moisture-wicking cooling top cover, quilted breathable fibre and cooling gel, a layer of gel-infused foam, breathable latex-like foam, and a pocketed coil system to allow for airflow. These cooling technologies earned Choice a cooling feature score of 4.4/10.
Emma, on the other hand, performed notably lower with a score of 3.0/10. Hybrid Comfort received this score because of its moisture-wicking polyester top cover, its open-cell foam for breathability, and pocketed coils for air circulation. However, these features aren’t likely to provide the same level of cooling as those found in Logan & Cove.
Choose the mattress with better edge support, motion isolation, and cooling features.

Both Logan & Cove Choice and Emma Hybrid Comfort are hybrid mattresses containing foam and spring layers to provide a comfortable sleeping experience. Emma is made up of 5 layers and stands 13″ tall. Choice is 12″ tall and constructed with 4 distinct layers.
Logan & Cove Choice’s cover is a premium mix of polyester, polyethylene, and spandex, with diamond tufting and accent stitching for a luxury feel. The quilted cover includes cooling nanofibres, giving you a cooler and more comfortable night’s sleep.
Emma Hybrid Comfort has a machine-washable top cover made from a polyester/elastane fabric blend. Although it’s designed to be moisture-wicking and breathable, this cover doesn’t have the advanced cooling features that competing hybrids often have.

If you wish to return your mattress, either company will arrange the pickup for free and issue you a full refund. Logan & Cove works with charity partners and will donate any returned sleep-trial mattresses of good quality. Emma’s website states that they will simply coordinate your mattress’s disposal, and don’t say what happens to the mattress once it’s been returned.
On third-party review sites like Trustpilot and the Better Business Bureau, customers have raised issues concerning customer service and shipping and delivery issues. This has earned Emma a rating of just “Average” on Trustpilot, and non-accreditation on the BBB. The BBB has also put out an alert on Emma’s parent company. In comparison, Logan & Cove’s parent company is rated “A+” and “Excellent” on BBB and Trustpilot, respectively.
