This allows us to accurately rate and compare the performance of the mattresses reviewed on this website. Engineer independence and operating standards help ensure their results remain unbiased, valid, and reliable. Each mattress was evaluated using the same strict mattress testing methodology to protect the overall integrity of the results. The full report has been given the official stamp of approval from an APEGA-certified engineer operating under a strict ethical code of conduct.
Mattress testing conducted outside of this professional standard poses a greater risk of validity errors or reviewer bias.

Comparing the Logan and Cove mattress vs DreamCloud, DreamCloud is considered a medium to medium-firm mattress. DreamCloud also doesn’t have thicker-gauge steel coils in the middle section of the mattress, which would help support your hips and keep your spine aligned. This means you will sink partway into the mattress when you lie down and you could find it harder to change sleep positions.
Logan & Cove Choice is a medium-firm mattress with less “hug,” which will help you change sleep positions more easily. It also has three-zoned support, with thicker coils to support your hips, thinner coils for shoulders and knees, and reinforced coils around the mattress edge. This provides cushioning, spinal alignment, and targeted support. The mattress gently contours around your body with minimal sinking, for a comfortable and supportive sleep.
Hybrid mattresses are generally known for good edge support. However, in third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), DreamCloud scores only average for edge support at 5.7/10. This is surprising because the mattress has thicker steel coils around the perimeter that should provide more support.
In comparison, Logan & Cove Choice earned a much higher edge support score of 7.5/10. You’ll be able to sit comfortably on the edge of the mattress without it dipping too far down, and you shouldn’t have any trouble getting out of bed.
Motion isolation helps you enjoy a restful night’s sleep without being disturbed by movement from your partner, kids, or pets. Hybrid mattresses typically provide less motion isolation than foam mattresses due to the responsive inner coils.
DreamCloud earned a motion isolation score of 5.9/10, which is average for a hybrid. However, Logan & Cove scored much higher with a very good score of 7.5/10.
While bounce is more of a preference, it can also be a good indication of how easily you can shift sleep positions and whether you might sink into or feel “stuck” in a mattress. Hybrid mattresses typically have lower bounce, but the DreamCloud mattress scored a below-average bounce rating of 3.9/10—a lower rating than comparable hybrid mattresses.
Logan & Cove Choice has a higher bounce rating at 5.8/10. But thanks to the mattress’s higher high motion isolation score, you’re less likely to be disturbed by a restless partner or pets. The responsive Elastex® transition layer and multi-zoned support foam will also help you shift sleep positions more easily.
Hybrid mattresses are more breathable due to their coils, which promote airflow. While DreamCloud isn’t promoted as a cooling mattress, it has some cooling features, including gel-infused foams and pocketed coils. With these features, DreamCloud earned a cooling feature score of 1.8/10
If you prefer a mattress with more advanced cooling features, consider Logan & Cove Choice. This mattress has features such as a cooling top cover with gel-infused foam, CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres, a layer of ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam, Elastex® foam (a breathable open-cell foam similar to latex), and pocketed coils. All these features earned this mattress a cooling feature score of 4.4/10. These scores indicate you’re more likely to have a cooler and more comfortable sleep on a Logan & Cove Choice.

DreamCloud’s breathable cashmere blend cover is made of 68% polyester, 31% rayon, and 1% cashmere. The cover can’t be removed, and you’ll void the warranty if you try. We weren’t able to find any information on the composition of the bottom and side cover composition, or on the density of DreamCloud’s foam layers.
Logan & Cove is completely transparent about its mattress construction, material composition, and 2.5 lb/ft³ foam density. Logan & Cove Choice has a plush quilted top cover with diamond tufting, infused with CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres. Combined with the breathable hollow fibre fill and gel-infused foam in the mattress’s top layer, the cooling nanofibres give the mattress a cool-to-the-touch feeling.

In comparing the Logan and Cove mattress vs DreamCloud, both mattresses ship by ground for free using FedEx. Additional fees may apply for some remote locations. You’ll want to do your homework on the total cost to deliver to your door with DreamCloud, since shipping costs seem to vary. DreamCloud doesn’t deliver to Nunavut.
Logan & Cove Choice ships from Ontario or Alberta and arrives at your doorstep in 2–11 business days, including dispatch and delivery time. We were unable to determine the location of DreamCloud’s Canadian distribution centres. With both companies, your mattress is delivered directly to your door throughout most parts of Canada. Logan & Cove Choice is shipped in a cardboard box and protected by two layers of heavy-duty plastic. DreamCloud is rolled and shipped in heavy-duty plastic, minus the box. Logan & Cove Choice expands within minutes but may take up to 24 hours to fully expand and be sleep-ready, which is typical for a hybrid mattress. DreamCloud takes up to 72 hours to expand.
Both Logan & Cove Choice and DreamCloud come with a 365-night sleep trial, which is considerably longer than the industry average. Logan & Cove has a 15-year warranty, while DreamCloud advertises a lifetime warranty.
However, DreamCloud has numerous consumer complaints on independent review sites like the Better Business Bureau, Trustpilot, and Reddit for product quality and getting the company to honour its sleep trial refund. DreamCloud has also been fined by the FTC in the US for repeated false advertising. In comparison, Logan & Cove has over 4,500+ verified, five-star reviews, a Better Business Bureau rating of “A+”, and an “Excellent” rating on Trustpilot.
Both companies will pick up returns for free within the sleep trial period and issue a full refund. Logan & Cove donates gently used mattresses to local charities, while DreamCloud’s website says it will work with the customer to get the item donated or disposed of through local organizations within the customer’s community.
