Popular Silk & Snow Mattresses

These well-known mattresses are available through the Silk & Snow Canada website. However, you should know about the upsides and downsides of each product.

In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), Silk & Snow mattresses generally have good edge support and motion isolation. Some mattresses have covers that the company claims are anti-microbial, but it’s not clear how this is accomplished. Silk & Snow mattresses also lack the advanced cooling features often seen on other mattresses at a similar price point. Long-term warranty coverage is limited, too, with free repair or replacement ending after 10 years.

Silk & Snow is rated “A+ (accredited)” on Better Business Bureau and “Great” on Trustpilot, but customer reviews tell a different story. It’s important to account for the company’s two-star customer review rating on BBB. Customers have also reported significant issues when interacting with Silk & Snow’s customer service, especially when it comes to product quality, returns, and warranty claims.

Read our Silk and Snow reviews to learn more. Or, if you’re looking for more advanced cooling features and better-rated customer service (according to Trustpilot and BBB), consider Logan & Cove or Douglas instead.

S&S Foam

The S&S Foam Mattress is a medium-firm memory foam mattress with good motion isolation, support, and pressure point relief, and motion isolation.

However, the mattress doesn’t live up to its claim of “zero motion transfer.” It scored a 6.7/10 for motion isolation in third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us)—still leaving room to improve.

Need a cooling foam mattress with greater motion isolation? Consider Douglas Original.

S&S Hybrid

The S&S Hybrid Mattress is a medium-firm mattress with a firmer feel. It provides zoned support under your back and hips using pocketed coils and memory foam.

Still, Silk & Snow lacks the advanced cooling features you might expect from a hybrid mattress. Customers have also complained of difficulty arranging a product return.

Want to buy a supportive hybrid mattress with more cooling features and top-notch customer service? Consider Logan & Cove Frontier.

S&S Organic

The S&S Organic Mattress uses organic latex and cotton for a supportive, responsive hybrid mattress with a firm feel and zoned support regardless of how much you weigh.

However, customers have reported issues with motion transfer—not ideal if you share a bed with a partner. The mattress is also regularly priced at $1,400 for a queen size, which is less affordable for some Canadians.

Want a premium hybrid mattress with great motion isolation for under $1,000? Consider Logan & Cove Choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Silk and Snow mattress good?

Silk & Snow mattresses do well when tested by APEGA-certified third-party engineers, but are somewhat expensive for what they offer. Although they have good edge support and motion isolation, these mattresses are missing the advanced cooling features seen on other mattresses in their price range.

We think you should check out Logan & Cove or Douglas instead. Both are award-winning mattress brands with advanced cooling features and excellent customer service. Your purchase comes with a free bedding bundle that includes a complete sheet set, pillow(s), mattress protector, and pillow protector(s).

Does Silk and Snow have fiberglass?

No, Silk & Snow mattresses don’t contain fiberglass.

Who owns Silk and Snow?

Silk & Snow is owned by Sleep Country Canada, which acquired almost all of Silk & Snow’s assets in early 2023. The company also owns other sleep brands like Endy and Casper.

Who sells Silk and Snow mattresses?

Silk & Snow mattresses are sold directly on the company’s website and showroom. Some models are also available through EQ3 and The Shopping Channel.

Where are Silk and Snow mattresses made?

According to the company’s website, all their mattresses are made by manufacturing partners located in Toronto, Canada.

What does the Silk and Snow warranty cover?

Silk & Snow’s 15-year warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials only. It doesn’t cover any incidental damage the mattress may receive, including while being shipped to you. The company offers free repair and replacement for all valid warranty claims, but this ends after 10 years.

What Silk and Snow mattress alternatives should I consider?

We think you should check out Douglas and Logan & Cove.

The award-winning Douglas Original mattress offers exceptional value at just $799 for a queen size, featuring ecoLight® cooling gel foam, Elastex® foam for extra responsiveness and support, and a machine-washable cover. You’ll also get a 365-night sleep trial and 20-year warranty. For added cooling and comfort, consider upgrading to Douglas Alpine or Douglas Summit.

Logan & Cove launched in 2018 and offers luxury-quality hybrids without the luxury price. Logan & Cove Choice is available at just $999 for a queen size and features a cooling nanofibre cover, ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam, sturdy edge support foam, and a three-zone coil support system. Logan & Cove comes with a 365-night sleep trial and 15-year warranty. For even more luxury comfort, you can upgrade to the Euro-top Logan & Cove Frontier or Logan & Cove Pinnacle.
